Re: Washington & Lee
I went to an ASW and the place seemed really nice. It'd definitely be a different experience to go there.

Re: Washington & Lee
If i don't get into the likes of Texas or Cornell, I think i'll definitely at least visit. It could be a kind of nice laid back vibe...it could also be really boring. Here's a topic...W&L vs WUSTL for non-DC east coast placement. Talk amongst yourselves...

Re: Washington & Lee
north or south of DC?
for north they are probably equal. for south definitely go with W&L.

Re: Washington & Lee
Id say the above post is correct although W&L might have a slight advantage due to a tighter alumni base than WUSTL.

If anyone out there has already put down their seat deposit at W&L and wants to join the newly created Facebook group then let me know via private message. I decided to make it a 'secret' group for now so you'll have to contact me to join.

I do not need all the fancy neighborhood stuff.. i need the basics of good cultured living, like the lack of country music and the presence of live theater.. I couldnt live in a city without a professional theater group or two.. and a professional symphony.. I love the arts.. Im a musician. Surely I could pass the time practicing that art.. but why be so secluded? Or is that how you grew up and the idea of living in an area with a population greater than 10,000 threatens your sense of superioirity??conch republic wrote:There's a hospital in LexingtonDarth Leia wrote:itl take an ambulance an hour to get there!
Some people hate themselves so much that they cannot imagine living in a rural area where they'll have to entertain themselves. Instead they have to live in the middle of a big city, renting apartments in the right neighborhoods, shopping at all the places where "in the know" people shop, eating at that month's newest chic restaurant, and commiserating with the millions of other empty souls around them.Darth Leia wrote:seriously.. why would somebody want to go to law school in the woods?
You can easily identify these people because they are so insecure that they go out of their way to attack points of view that conflict with their own.
Not knocking your achievement.. its a highly ranked school for a 'reason'.. but its a little too 'deliverance' and a little to far removed from real life for my taste...
