Thanks for the replies guys, looks like it's Time Warner for me.
Good point. At least there won't be LOST to distract us during the fall semester. But TV is a good study break. It makes me excited to know that I'll never miss an episode of Grey's or Lost this season because of school.

I am very excited for this. Do we know if they are doing extended episodes like they did last season?Supermario wrote:while were on the subject of TV, new episodes of The Office start Sept. 25!
Why are the best TV shows on the same night as Bar Review? That DVR might come in handy lishi!

Unfortunately I can never get into the Office, because it interrupts my Grey's time.

haha well I think you are making the wrong decision. Maybe now that I have DVR I can record both The Office and Grey's.

Orientation schedule is up!
8:00 is awfully early for me to be up and building a house in the lovely North Carolina heat. Eep.

I was hoping to make friends before they found out that I was completely and utterly useless and weak. I can just see me embarassing myself now.
When I visited the food was AMAZING!!! It was some of the best food ever. I think I was the only person who ate literally everything they put in front of me, and almost stole someone else's creme brulee lol

Re: Wake Forest class of 2011
From what I've heard, habitat has always been good about having people work at their own level/pace while teaching them what they need to know. I think it'll be good outdoor fun.Supermario wrote:yeah im not skilled with carpentry either... glad to hear that about the food though.
On the other hand, it is much easier for me to say that being in section 1B since I won't get the noon/early afternoon heat

If anything, I guess I didn't realize just how much we'd be meeting for LRW. I wonder just how much they're going to cram into us.
edit: if anything, I guess I'm a little disappointed that we're each only doing one 4 hour stint with Habitat...but on the other hand there's lots to be done and I can always do it on my own time in the future.

Given the choice between 8-11 and 1-4 in the NC heat, I'd much prefer the morning.whenpigsfly wrote:Orientation schedule is up!

so is the LRW class only during orientation week? thats the assumption i was under but when you do the weekly schedule in WIN and scroll to following weeks, LRW is still listed.

We have LRW classes the entire first year. I believe it is pass/fail and culminates with a moot court component.

Re: Wake Forest class of 2011
This is correct (though I'm glad to hear that it's pass/fail). I would assume that with the very large chunks of time that we are spending in the class that we will also be given some form of a major assignment or two as well. Nothing like a little bit of practice with no other pesky classes to get in the way.Supermario wrote:We have LRW classes the entire first year. FYI: Wake is one of the growing number of schools that requires some form of legal research and writing for three semesters. This is just the beginning.

Packing sucks. And the seven and a half hour car ride to Winston tomorrow doesn't sound too pleasant either. I envy everyone who is already moved in.

Reading Assignments are posted:
--LinkRemoved--
I wonder if this is just the reading assignment for orientation, because it says nothing about cases for the first day of actual classes.

Re: Wake Forest class of 2011
Thank you for that link. Just taking a glance over it (seems like good DMV reading material for me today!), I would assume that it's general in scope and therefore assigned reading for orientation. Maybe not for friday, but probably for monday.
Edit: Just heard back. It's for LWR, so make sure you have it for monday. Hooray.

This might be a dumb question, but at this point, do we have access to a computer lab? I'm one of those people you like to have paper copies of pretty much everything, and I wanted to print our Orientation assignment out. And do we have a print quota?

Re: Wake Forest class of 2011
According to the ASD, there is no print quota (which is nice and makes sense considering the size of our law school). As for access to printers right now? I'm not exactly sure and would like to know that as well.whenpigsfly wrote:This might be a dumb question, but at this point, do we have access to a computer lab? Re: Wake Forest class of 2011
Welcome to Winston Salem then. You really couldn't have picked a better week to move weather wise: it's absolutely beautiful (and not humid for once!). It's supposed to be just like today all orientation week. I can only hope.
Hope it doesn't rain tomorrow til you're done moving (then I hope it rains a lot afterwards).
