That is Goose's self-tar. Which is why all the cool kids are UVA bound. :D

Be on the lookout for a freakishly tall blonde guy, possibly walking with a limp if his broken foot isn't healed by then...

i'm willing to overlook those gigantic flaws by focusing on her other positives: personality.

By "neckline crevice," I meant cleavage in case the reference was too vague :) And yes, she does have a great... personality. A pair of great ones really.

we only fill out fafsa and the form on the UVA website "Application for Financial Aid 08-09 Academic year"?

None of the apartments are furnished. Walmart is your answer!

man, copeley becomes more enticing every day after everything is factored:

no need to sublet
no need to rent/buy furniture
no need to buy for utilities separately

only drawback: double occupancy...

Graduate Centre seems so much better than Copeley. There's no way I'd consider a double occupancy room in law school.

Goose, I'd consider double occupancy in tiny bedrooms a dealbreaker, at least during 1L. Worse than two beds to a room, both desks are in the room also. Whatever inconvenience utilities, furniture, etc. may cause pales in comparison to coordinating daily schedules with someone who works and studies in the same room as you.

Wal-Mart, Target, IKEA, Craigslist... all good options. Even better, I'm also sure that there are undergrad seniors and 3Ls putting up ads for moving sales in April/May.

My avatar is actually me, but that doesn't mean I don't need any help.

I know TLS wants to support my furniture moving. I can sense it.

I'm probably picking Graduate Centre if I end up at UVa...might be looking for a roommate (meaning apartmentmate not actual roommate). It's a pretty nice place unless you must be in the center of the social scene. It's a nice central location between the law school, Barracks, and JPJ though.

GuyinGeorgia, I may or may not help you move your furniture. Maybe I help you with furniture, you wake up at 6 AM when breaks start and drive me to the Amtrak station so I don't have to waste money to park there. Also, are you an UGA fan? They're my 2nd favorite college team (after UVa).

I think they're a little further away from the law school and Barracks, more expensive (I think), and I'd actually prefer to be away from the main social scene. I'd never forgive myself if I got worse 1L grades because I picked the more social location. There might be other reasons but I don't really remember what they are. Graduate Centre is 4 to a large suite with private bedrooms and baths compared to Ivy which I believe are more traditional apartments, not sure if that turns some people off.

anyone willing to live not right on campus?

Some of the off campus apartments within 1-4 miles of the law school are really nice and cheap

anyone on here have AIM?

The Grand Marc At The Corner seems really nice! It's about 2.1 miles away from the law school, but for $750/month for a two bedroom it'd be hard to find a better deal

congrats JROD!

btw i'm also going the 28th. not sure about roommates. i'm strongly considering splitting a two bedroom so rent is about 500 before utilities, etc.
