it's on the "Demographic Data" page of the student center page that you use to access the financial aid... it's the first item on the demographic page....

Re: Cornell Law School 2011
I'll be living with a first-year management student. We are coming from similar situations in life and have common interests, so it seemed like it'd be chill to split a place. Plus we don't have to deal with overly competitive roommates taking the same classes, etc.
I am already prematurely jealous of people who will form study groups with their roomies, though. Not sure what that says about me.

I'm living with some hard-science doctoral students, though the landlord told me he's rented to law students in the past.

Edit: what's your dog's name, btw? It's going to be really hard to dognap him without that info.

Living with a grad student studying financial engineering.
I'm still trying to get my head around what that means exactly, but I think it means learning how to create all sorts of crazy financial instruments along the lines of the mortgage-backed securities that have tanked the lending market.

Re: Cornell Law School 2011
Anyone know when we get info about classes/schedules/professors, etc. I think I saw something about how we don't find out till orientation. Is that right?
Just trying to figure out if I can get a jump on buying books. If we have to wait till orientation, it seems like that would lock us in to buying books from the Cornell bookstore. Also, I'm wondering about doing the reading for the first day of class if we have to wait to the 11th hour to buy the books.

I think they are in our flex. So, yeah, you at least have to wait until you're in Ithaca to get it. I'm not sure if they are there now, or when we have orientation.Rosstafarian wrote:Anyone know when we get info about classes/schedules/professors, etc. I think I saw something about how we don't find out till orientation. I'm also a bit concerned about doing reading for day 1 if we don't have any info until two days beforehand.

We get a mentor?
I did get my health insurance card and an invite for a bbq thing at the dean's house.

Yea, my mentor emailed me today (my old contact email, not my Cornell one), saying she just wanted to get in touch and see if I wanted to meet her the weekend of the 23rd or something.kn6542 wrote:Noooo!CampbellRh wrote:3 days of no action=this thread needs a bump.

I felt somewhat insulted at first as well (it makes me feel like they don't think I'm a grown up), but I guess its a nice gesture, and I'm in no position to refuse advice (and I guess I'm not really a grown up).KidA23 wrote:Mentor? Mentor? I don't need no stinkin' mentor.
I spent 3 years of undergrad acting as a mentor for incoming freshman, and I remember always being amazed at how little my mentees knew-things I thought were common knowledge.
I hate to think that I am now my freshman.

Also got my insurance card and the BBQ invite. Does anyone know if the mentor thing is for everyone or not? I haven't gotten anything on that front...
