I am.

I'll be driving home when we have breaks, etc. (6 hours).

Plus, my boyfriend lives about 3 hours away, and my undergrad (and a bunch of friends) is (are) an hour and a half away, so I'll need it for an occassional weekend trip (if I ever have the time).

I am, but only because I have no place to put it otherwise. I don't think I'm going to need it there, really.

Sigh. I'm guessing it's not the luscious powder we get here, but I don't know. Does anyone here know?

Def. not the same powder as out west.

There is a reason we all go out west to ski/board.

The snow is worse out west than it is here.

So, is it sloppy snow? Is that it?

a) haven't touched the book.

b) not nice fluffy powder. it tends to be wet, heavy (though not always, but our "powder" is usually not fluffy, and if it is, it is short lived)...which is great for snowmen! and sometimes we get ice storms, too. those are not fun. our ski mountains usually have a ton of man made snow, which sometimes gets a little icy. I would skip snowboarding here all year if I could get one week a year of powder in montana/colorado/utah/anywhere out there, the snow is just so much better out there.

Yes, there is a ski mountain nearby that's small and icy. You'll probably want the car to get there too. But I definitely wouldn't call it a "resort."
East coast snow is different and Greek Peak is no exception.
What I got when I asked a few friends who went to Cornell about the ski resort nearby.

1) Am bringing a car, but anticipate using maybe once a week at most.
2) Haven't even received the latest package, much less started the book.
3) As a baseball fanatic, I am now begging Nesky to tell us which stadiums he plans on hitting.

well, we go to three per year (or at least we have been for the 4 years we've been doing this). This year's offerings are St. Louis, Cincinnatti, and Pittsburgh.

Nice- little NL Central swingaroo. All three parks are relatively new, too. So you've got that going for you.

As a Cubs fan, I'll just ask you to please do me a favor and put a hex on the Cardinals who inexplicably seem to win games regardless of tha crappy, make-shift roster they trot out every day. Makes me sick.

As a fellow Cubs fan, I kindly request that no one ever speak of hexes, curses, streaks, or any of the animals and/or people associated with such things. We will beat out the Cardinals because we are a better team. We will win the World Series because we are the best team in the Major Leagues.

On a side note, I'm still getting used to not booing Jim "eye makeup" Edmonds. Seriously, who'd a thunk?

So, on a positive note......I'M FINISHED WITH PEACE CORPS IN 1 DAY!!! And am coming back to America. Thank god.

On a negative note, I question if my address has been changed even though I tried to and suspect that my mailings may keep going to the village. Hmmm.

What is this book about/for?
