Grand total minus Hornbooks/other study aids = $695. Ouch. Hope my loans get dispersed soon.
Thanks again for posting the section pics! Also, I'm in Section L so add another TLS name to the CivPro dream team. Getting excited to meet you guys.

Anybody want to hit up Three for dancing (optional) and $4 martinis?? Maybe we could start somewhere else and end up there like last week.

Section I books were $763.35 without the $42 recommended supplement. I think we're paying for those Fridays off...

It's sadder that I haven't met nip and I live 10 seconds away... literally!
Someone call me if something is going on tonight... my brother is in town and I want to show him a good time.

Pregame at 9:00 at the Woodlands (1925 Beechcrest Ct., Unit 102).
Those who get here early enough get to have jello shots. I have some alcohol but not a ton, and I definitely don't have beer, so you might want to bring some stuff along with you!

I assume we're hitting $2 pitchers afterward, and hopefully Three as well!

Nope, not the gym by the law school. We've been playing at the Aquatic & Fitness center. It's on Alderman Rd.CaptainDirtyBird wrote:North Grounds Gym?greygoose wrote:agghh everything hurts!

Re: University of Virginia School of Law 2011
Section B book total- $585.
Checking the interwebz now for cheaper....
Edit: Basically, I looked at Amazon and while the casebooks (the $140 joints) are about $30 cheaper for each book, my torts and Civ Pro book are out of stock with no firm availability date. The other little books are mostly about the same. So, save ~$100 and possibly not have books or just forget about it and go with what I got? I think I'm just going to go with what I got.
As another FYI, my above total doesn't include any supplementals like hornbooks or commercial outlines. I'll wait and see on those after some class days.
Edit 2: Checked another site (alibris.com?) and they are also out of Civ Pro and Torts. Checked another site and it quoted 6 of my 9 books at $585. Bookstore doesn't seem so bad by comparison.

Edit: Nevermind, very few of the books are actually in stock online. Oh well.

Finally moved in at the Grad Centre with all my Ikea furniture. Finally. No internet for a day
*shudder*
I'm in Section F!
I just splurged on my books and bought them full-cost at the bookstore. I'm not bothering to cut costs on something that important. That, and already-highlighted books drive me NUTS.

A few things...
(1) Any other Section B people notice we didn't have required books for Contracts? I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.
(2) Avemore rocks
(3) How are people playing b-ball at the gym? I thought our ID's didn't start working until the 22nd.

Re: University of Virginia School of Law 2011
Youre right about contracts. I looked at Leslie's other courses and he does them the same way: casefile method?? I assume it's something on the interwebz where we'll just download our readings and print them off if we choose.
I might have to kiss the old bastard for saving us $140.....
EDIT:
I was mistaken. Leslie uses casefilemethod.com. A site conveniently created and owned by him where you purchase a course packet or something. Basically, same thing as buying a book, but the crafty bastard cut out the middle man!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
