Yes it is. But, I think most of the schedule you can see online--I didn't really learn anything new. It also says we dont get our section assignments until orientation. They also sent a book about Gettysburg we need to read before orientation.

And, if you go online you can now see your coat and book locker assignments.

I was just going to ask that. I checked everything I could think of--and nothing :(

I signed in with my net id.... and then I went to the Cornell law school website. I googled exam. Then I clicked on Exam schedule Cornell law exams or exam info or something. Then I clicked on my info. I was just randomly searching, and then I saw my info and got really excited.

Ok more info...

https://support.law.cornell.edu/student ... udents.cfm

Then click on my info. That's where I went.

I was really just talking about stuff with our school's name and/ or logo on it.... sorry for the confusion (next time, i will say 'merch')

before you buy your 'merch' at the bookstore, check out some of the places in collegetown. Some of the stores have different things at better prices. Not to say the bookstore doesn't have quality stuff, but it doesn't have everything.

No package for me. All of my mail from Cornell is on a 1-week delay. They've been sending it to my parents' house and despite having tried to change it online (twice) as well as over the phone, still no luck.

I got the letter. I guess being an ORM didn't preclude me from receiving the invitation.

I'm like... totally not gonna talk to people who didn't come to this pre orientation.

I'm actually excited about this.

I'll get lots and lots of candies and free stuff (hopefully). Nothing wins my heart more than freebies.

^^^^^ Seconded.

What about those of us that love free stuff too but weren't invited? Hmm? Maybe we won't talk to you either since you are planning to shun us... I'm very offended.

Has anyone had a birthday happen since they deposited at Cornell? Their b-day card was pretty cute...that sorta counts as "free stuff" I guess.

Got that the same day as the orientation info and the book. Now I just need to figure out how to opt out of it.

Not enough. She still looks less-than-thrilled.

Thanks for the locker info, LeahNic. It's really beginning to feel real now, this whole starting law school thing. :D

As for that pre-orientation thing, I don't consider myself a minority, but I don't have the poli-sci/pre-law background and I'm coming from abroad (but not international student), so I guess that's why they sent me the letter. Hopefully it won't be too busy, because I'd love to hang out with anyone else who's already in town, regardless of whether they're attending or not. We can share the candies!

Also, did anyone else see this? Ithaca has a carshare program that seems pretty cool, especially if the university actually does pay the basic membership fee, like it says. Maybe they'll tell us more about this sort of thing at orientation?
