Oh, well that's cool. It's probably legit. It's places like Road Ranger and Casey's, etc. that you want to avoid. I don't even know if those places are even here on the east coast or not. I might have to get my gas on 29 as well. Thanks for the info!MissVirginia wrote:According to them, the Sam's here buys from BP. So it's BP gas bought in a much higher volume than the local shops, fresher as there are more frequent deliveries, but without the costly additives that are unnecessary in this region b/c of no emissions regs (apologies to the eco-friendly). Volume leads to the dime or so less per gallon. I don't know how much they are to be believed, but given that I've had no problems I'm inclined to trust them. If you hear otherwise I'm expecting you as our resident auto-guru to let me know! I need this car to last through law school.

Hey all- I’ve read over some of the posts and thought I would sign up and share an awesome thing about uva libraries that I used a lot during undergrad.:
--LinkRemoved--
The Robertson Media Center on the third floor of Clemons has a ridiculously large selection of dvds that you can check out for free. You can check them out for three days, then there is a $1 a day charge, but you don’t have to pay unless you rack up $10 in fees (at least that was how it worked when I was there- ’06 grad).
It was tough to get new releases, but movies out over a year were easy to get a hold of and they also had multiple copies of the popular ones. Don’t know how much time we’ll have to watch movies (maybe people already there can take advantage of it b4 classes), but it’s definitely worth taking advantage of if you want to save a few bucks from Blockbuster/Netfilx/etc.

Even if you're not a Sam's member, I definitely advise going to 29--at least if the alternative is around the Barracks Rd Shopping Center.J-Rod wrote:Oh, well that's cool. It's probably legit. Yesterday:
Gas at the Shell on 29: $3.79
Gas at the Shell off Barracks: $4.01
I mean, really??

Also worth mentioning is the music library-- which has loads of cds you can check out. It's kinda tough to find--in the basement of old Cabell hall (the building across from the Rotunda).

Very nice, glad! It is both off-topic and bragging, but if you can't do that with your internet buddies, who can you do that with?
What's up with Thursday's BBQ? Has anyone done any planning?

Errr, yes. Yes, it was. I thought it was Thursday, for some reason.
That, and I'm having a hard time keeping track of days now that I'm out work.
Well, is anyone interested in doing it again tonight?

Mmm BWW - I'm sad I missed it!
STILL no email response from the Comcast rep for The Woodlands - have any of you figured out the cable package / upgrade possibilities?
Also if there's anything going on this Friday afternoon, count me in! If not, I will definitely be enjoying the Woodlands pool before driving back home
