Halo 3. Haven't played in quite a while though. Newb321 or Blind Demodocus (I have two accounts) If you want to play some, let me know.

I used to play Halo 3 on my roommates X-Box. I was quite bad despite devoting a large amount of time to it.

Re: University of Virginia School of Law 2011
Howdy from C'ville, everybody. We moved earlier this week and are still working on unpacking boxes and setting up furniture. In fact, I'm only online because I'm sitting in the C'ville airport waiting to catch that flight to Tampa. Quick tips:
On furniture: Circa, I think it is, on Allied Street, has some great stuff, but it's at antique store prices rather than used furniture store prices (but if you want vintage Playboys, they're $3...not what I expected to see, either). There is a significant lack of furniture at the two Goodwills in town. Check craigslist!
If anyone needs a bunch of moving boxes, I got 'em.

There is an IKEA in Woodbridge (45 min south of DC, about 1.5 - 2 hours from Cville). I'm planning on going back in mid-August to fill in any holes.
Congrats OnceLost on being moved in (even if you still have some boxes to unpack)!

Do we have to accept our financial aid awards on both the admitweb and the lawWeb?

From the article:
"Groh spent a lot of time talking about the two quarterback system with Florida coach Urban Meyer last year and so Virginia used both Sewell and Lalich for a while in ’07 before Sewell regained most of the playing time."
Is there any wonder why UVA had such a successful season last year?

Thanks for the responses guys. I looked at a lot of furniture places around town but most seemed to have traditional/antique style furniture. I'm going for a more modern look so I suppose Ikea is my best bet. I moved a few things in so far but I'll probably be doing so for the next few weeks. When there is a good amount of people down there I'd like to go out on a Fri or Sat night for some drinks to meet everyone.
Oh and PS there is a My Morning Jacket show at the Pavilion on Sept. 4th if anyone else loves them.

...and now I'm posting from the Charlotte airport. Egh, what a day. Up at 5, on a plane at 6:30, in Tampa at 11, waiting-waiting-waiting, in a courtroom at 1:25 for a 1:30 hearing only to find out that the restitution has been settled and I'm no longer needed. Sooo, now I'm headed back home (I love saying "home" and meaning "Charlottesville").

So do you guys think it's worthwhile to go up to Ikea for furniture, or is it just easier to rely on Walmart and Target? I don't really know much about furniture shopping, and I move in on August 14th, so I don't really have much time to fool around and look at all of them.
I am driving down from DC in a Suburban, so I was thinking of stopping at Woodbridge and picking up some stuff from Ikea and filling in what I don't get there in Charlottesville, but I dunno, I might benefit from consistency.
Meh, furnishing gives me a headache.

IKEA is definitely worth a trip for most of us. If you're looking to buy pretty good stuff at pretty good prices, it's a great place to look. I don't know if there are other stores in the area, but the one in College Park isn't too far from DC.So do you guys think it's worthwhile to go up to Ikea for furniture, or is it just easier to rely on Walmart and Target? If anyone is interested in a last minute meet-up today, I'll be at McIntire Park (on the 250 bypass) for a while starting right around 11am. We'll probably stay near the playground and the kiddie pool (southeast end of the park) and I'll be the chap swordfighting with the four year old or holding the cutest baby in the world.

So, I'm moving tomorrow. I've just about got everything packed. All I have to do is pack up my computer and load up my car. I will take a picture of what my tiny car looks like w/ all of my shit in it . . . it's pretty ridiculous.
I'll be in C-Ville permanently on Aug. 1, but might be there once or twice before then to buy a mattress, maybe some furniture, etc.
See everyone soon!

Play both (more COD, though) under triadolpho. I don't use much creativity when it comes to screennames.nipplehead wrote:sounds good

Re: University of Virginia School of Law 2011
My SO & I just moved in yesterday. It's been a really hectic weekend moving all of our stuff in and grabbing every little thing that we need. Also, living on the 4th floor in Avemore doesn't help
Anyway, after all of this over, I'm going to be bored as hell for 3 weeks (there's only so much TV I can watch and PS3 I can play). If anyone's down to meet up or do anything (drink, bbq, bball), let me know.

They'll be open. I'm not sure if you'll be able to get in though. Presumably you don't count as a full time student until school starts.

My Avemore lease won't start until the 11th, but I'm down for all of the above once we move in. Really looking forward to meeting everyone in CVille. If anyone's down to meet up or do anything (drink, bbq, bball), let me know.

That's gonna be a busy week leading up to orientation, but hopefully I'll find some time to meet some of my fellow Avemore residents (and maybe some non-Avemore ones too).
