Whoa, were you at my ASD?? When did you go?KidA23 wrote:Someone actually asked about that survey at our ASD this past March. I got the feeling that any mention of this now infamous Princeton Review survey is met with a thorough rolling of the eyes from actual students. No one was really sure where that figure came from or who was actually surveyed. Needless to say, no one we talked to studied 6 hours a day or knew anyone who did.
There's actually a semi-helpful thread on the Admitted Students' web board (on the official site) where a few students who transferred from other T1s to Cornell commented on this. From what I remember, they all pretty much agreed that studying at Cornell was not noticeably heavier or more intense than at their previous school.

I'm not sure how cold it gets over there... When I visited for 4/4 ASD, it wasn't too bad. But I guess no more t-shirts and rainbows...?

I was going to buy some stuff and someone told me not to bother because we we have down here (in the South) would not get the job done. They said to wait till I move up. What do you all think?

Re: Cornell Law School 2011
I don't think you'll need anything all that special, just some base layers, a down jacket, warm hat/gloves, some smartwool socks, some kind of rain/snow boots, sweaters, etc. There probably won't be much selection for that stuff in the south during summer, but you won't likely need much of that until after Thanksgiving anyway.Sunking1456 wrote:I was going to buy some stuff and someone told me not to bother because we we have down here (in the South) would not get the job done. There's "merchandise"? Why didn't anyone tell me that before I scrawled "CORNELL" on the side of my truck with a permanent marker?neskerdoo wrote:kn is right...

lolz I assumed they meant paraphernalia (like hoodies and bumper stickers and sh*t), too. The "official" online store is a little weak- http://www.adminders.com/?s=lawschool.
I wish they'd have just a red hoody with the words CORNELL LAW on it. Something like this (but red with CORNELL on it, obviously)-

Shouldn't be that hard, right?

Thanks- it's definitely a start (though not a huge fan of the black).
Maybe we can get our own class of '11 merchandise production line going. I see dollar signs.

I discovered on the website yesterday that I have a coat locker assigned to me and I am sharing it with another Texan. I wonder if they did that on purpose?
Anyway, I was instantly excited about my coat locker, then instantly worried about the cold.
