You should have known to negotiate the sacrificial virgin into your financial aid package like the rest of us.

The link (while confusing) got me to where I can access my original UVA account with my ipod touch, but I can't access the gmail account with it. Thanks for the help though.Hm for iPhone/iPod touch, this link might be helpful - http://www.itc.virginia.edu/exchange/mobile/macos.html

I would guess it is because there are no Verizon stores in Charlottesville and because the company doesn't have any of its own towers here. From what I understand, Verizon phones here pick up on signals from other services. I believe the closest store is in Staunton or Harrisonburg over in the Valley where the area code is 540. I have read that they are supposed to bring Verizon here soon so maybe you will be able to get a 434 area code soon if this is the reason why.OnceLost wrote:I called Verizon today to change my cell phone number and spoke to a very helpful woman who told me that she couldn't get me a 434 number. I ended up with a 540 number. Does anyone have any idea what's up with this? Similar problems with cell phone services? I had no trouble switching my home VoIP to a 434, but that's a whole different animal.

Thank you, doublehoo. That makes more sense than anything the poor woman at Verizon was able to tell me. I guess I'll just have a 540 area code for a while.

I'm not sure when student tickets go up for grabs in the fall, but I'd like to find two law students who don't like football who would be willing to give me their tickets, I have a couple friends flying in from Chicago who want to go to the game!

Students actually don't get tickets for football games. They swipe our IDs at the gate.J-Rod wrote:I'm not sure when student tickets go up for grabs in the fall, but I'd like to find two law students who don't like football who would be willing to give me their tickets, I have a couple friends flying in from Chicago who want to go to the game!

the answer might be obvious, but I'm stumped: when you log onto ISIS, what University ID are they referring to?

There's a website to find out your student ID, it's posted a few pages back somewhere. You could also just choose the "ISIS ID" option and your social security number is your ID #.

Oooh. Not so much a fan of the 42 dollar price on the ACC games. I was really hoping to bring friends up so they could cheer on the destruction of such teams

Don't scalpers usually sell them for more not less? Especially for big games.OnceLost wrote:Ticket scalpers. Better some money than none.

Re: University of Virginia School of Law 2011
This all depends on how many people show up for the game, so if say clemson and UVA are both looking for a place in the ACC final, than it could be really expensive. If they both have two or three losses, the scalpers are going to be taking whatever they can get. I just wish it was a little more reasonable for student tickets.gladiator wrote:Don't scalpers usually sell them for more not less? Especially for big games.OnceLost wrote:Ticket scalpers. Damn! That's expensive as hell. I was looking forward to that USC game. Now I have to shell out $55 if I want to bring my fiancee to that game.
