i feel ya.....i've had a torn hamstring for over a year and am just now starting to get to the point in rehab where i can jog for about 0.8 miles on it.....being sedentary is the worst feeling eversialeeds wrote:It's frikkin' nuts. I will need y'all to inspire me to get back in shape! I just had knee surgery and it has been bumming me out that I haven't been able to run since January, when I injured myselfSo... work out sessions!

I've heard there are no single guys and I was starting to get worried. I don't want to be without prospects for three years!

I noticed that too and got worried. Plus everyone seemed really attractive. I'm was planning on getting back in shape this summer because I'll have a ton of time, but now I have an even bigger incentive.sialeeds wrote: My mom and I noticed that there are a million runners in Charlottesville. As a single guy with no intention of getting a long-term girl between now and August, I can't say that I have much sympathy for you and your favorable 60:40 guy/girl ratio
I do agree that lots of folks (men folk and women folk) seem to be carrying relationships to law school.

During the life panel they said a lot of students make their long distance relationships work . . . but many 1L's that I hung out w/ over the rest of the weekend told me that most of them don't last more than the first 2-3 months of law school, if that.
Oh, and I'm single, and will be in August!

Yeah, one of the 1L's told me that Charlottesville has the most joggers per capita in the country or something crazy!sialeeds wrote:Why thank you! That means a lot... this injury thing has made me feel like an ugly duckling lately. I blame my nasty knee brace (which you guys DIDN'T get to see!) and my bloated knee. You looked pretty good at the ASW!![]()
I work out all the time, but nothing much changes . . . I stay in shape, but never get much bigger. I usually wash away my sorrows about it w/ some liquid courage
My mom and I noticed that there are a million runners in Charlottesville. It was crazy!
And AE, after I met you, my mother was like "That girl you just met is so pretty! How come you don't have a pretty girlfriend like that?!"
I was like "Thanks mom."

Haha, she has a boyfriend, so I can't just outright flirt with her . . . I was raised a southern gentleman.aguyingeorgia wrote:Smooth J. Throwing in the compliment from the mom. I like it!
And I'm definitely single. I had a beautiful girlfriend that I broke up with because I'm moving across the country in 4 months, and we figured it was best.

The break-ups over law school. Good times.

Except for the good times part.

I broke up with a great boyfriend when I moved to Paris (it was a mutual decision). I think it turned out best for both of us. Plus because we broke up on good terms we're still great friends. And I don't mean that in a we-say-hi-when-we-see-each-other-on-the-street kinda way - we eat lunch or dinner together a couple times a week and do something fun every friday because we both don't have classes.
