I am soooooo bored right now. It's senior week at my school and everybody else is on a booze cruise along a lake. I didn't get a ticket because I assumed I would be in Boston this week looking for apartments near BU. I'm literally like the only student on campus. I wanna just crack a beer and lay outside on the grass but is that considered alcoholism since I'd be drinking by myself? Or I could just play GTA IV.

I used to looove Muppet Treasure Island when I was a kid. It's been too long since I watched most of my childhood flashback movies. I did watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang fairly recently. That movie is awesome.OnceLost wrote:That last avatar was Hammy from the Over the Hedge movie. Just one example of the many, many Pixar or Disney characters I've learned to love. Or at least to tolerate. Or sing along with...I'm not saying I know every song of Muppet Treasure Island by heart, now, but I have been known to hum "Bella Notte" while I'm rocking the baby. Or doing dishes. Or taking a shower.
I like kids because they put up with my nonsense. Also, because they understand how I could want to eat junk food for every meal while all the grownups are eating salad. Bleechh.
(I am secretly a small child)
Heck, I just had to get an apartment with a ladder in it because ladders are fun

How about you convince Ray Allen to show up tonight in the 4th quarter. Or at least tell him to tell someone else to.rayallen20 wrote:I am soooooo bored right now. is there any way to score the holding-cute-baby points without also getting the entire scorecard thrown out because of must-be-married disqualification? i guess if the kid is cute enough, they might approach you to fawn over him/her. even so, you might get written off as a potential kidnapper when you tell them it isn't your kid...cantwaitforuva wrote: Oncelost - How old is your baby? I don't think that's alcoholism (as long as you don't get drunk by yourself). I say go for it. Or play GTA while you drink!rayallen20 wrote:I am soooooo bored right now. All my friends have been getting on my case about his poor play this series. I'll say the same that I keep telling them. As long as the playoffs continue with every win coming from the home team, the Celtics will be fine. They seem to be a different team in Boston compared to the way they play in Atlanta or Cleveland. I don't think they'll have a problem winning a game 7 at home against Cleveland. Detroit and LA/NO could be a completely different story though.

You're clearly the 'good friend who loves kids and doesn't mind watching the little rugrat for a few hours." That is all Skywalker.....Khordis wrote:is there any way to score the holding-cute-baby points without also getting the entire scorecard thrown out because of must-be-married disqualification? i guess if the kid is cute enough, they might approach you to fawn over him/her. even so, you might get written off as a potential kidnapper when you tell them it isn't your kid...cantwaitforuva wrote: Oncelost - How old is your baby? Babysit. Nothing says, "This guy would make a good father" like running through a park sword-fighting a 4 year old with pool-noodle "lightsabers." Apparently, women like stuff like thatKhordis wrote:is there any way to score the holding-cute-baby points without also getting the entire scorecard thrown out because of must-be-married disqualification? i guess if the kid is cute enough, they might approach you to fawn over him/her. even so, you might get written off as a potential kidnapper when you tell them it isn't your kid...

I love having kids, because it gives me a good reason to do all the stuff that people might raise their eyebrows at otherwise: climbing trees, playing on a playground, making sandcastles, chasing each other with squirt guns, sword-fighting, laser-tag, etc. I'm with you, shadowfish, except I'm not very secretive about being a small child!

I love playgrounds! I go on them anyways, but now I'm too big for the monkey bars and the slides. I really miss going in the colored tubes at fast food places, too! I really need an excuse to go play in the ball pit.OnceLost wrote: I love having kids, because it gives me a good reason to do all the stuff that people might raise their eyebrows at otherwise: climbing trees, playing on a playground, making sandcastles, chasing each other with squirt guns, sword-fighting, laser-tag, etc. I'm with you, shadowfish, except I'm not very secretive about being a small child!
I used to babysit when I was younger, but it was really easy because the kids were just mesmerized by me playing XBox. Woohoo! It was also before I could drive, 'cause then I would've taken advantage of having kids to go do a bunch of stuff that I was too "mature" for.

unfortunately, my roommate threw away the pool-noodles i bought when our rite-aid pool sprang a leak and had to be euthanized.OnceLost wrote: Babysit. I have no less than 6 pool-noodle lightsabers. An adult sized green one, an adult sized purple one, a kiddie sized green, a kiddie sized purple, a kiddie sized orange, and an adjustable kiddie/adult sized double-saber (think Darth Maul here). Some foam pool-noodles and a couple wooden dowels=hours of fun!
That said, you can probably borrow one of mine...

Yes, you'd be the available friend who's good with kids. That would make you a pretty hot commodity, I imagine.SgtBilko wrote:You're clearly the 'good friend who loves kids and doesn't mind watching the little rugrat for a few hours."
