Re: Washington University in St. Louis Class of '11
I live in St. Louis and got into Wash U., but have decided to attend elsewhere. Anyway, I've got a pretty decent 2-bedroom apartment in a nice part of the central west end that rents for $835. I'll have to double-check but I believe my lease ends July 31st. If you're interested, you could PM me and I'll give you the number of the realty company. I haven't told them I'm moving out yet so you could call them and express interest before they post any listings for it.

On this form it asks for Student ID; what did you all put on that line since as far as I am aware we have not been issued student IDs yet?
For student ID, I just put down 'n/a' and faxed it in to them.
However, I have not received any type of receipt and will probably have to give the Financial Aid office a call to get confirmation.

I checked with JoAnn Eckrich, Director of Financial Aid, and she said "You can leave the student ID section blank for now and just use your SSN. Once you are enrolled, you will receive a WU ID number."rhit2004 wrote:WashU sent an e-mail about a month ago with forms for loans. Hey everyone...I just managed to find this thread in the internets. I'm pretty excited to meet you at WUSTL in a couple months. I saw a post from someone about the UI-Mizzou game. Count me in on that one.

No, but I visited the gym when I was there just to look around. It was, umm, unimpressive. But coming from an SEC school with a multi-million dollar student rec facility, I was expecting to be disappointed. Still, I didn't expect their to be just one basketball court and the weight room to look like my high school's.rezipsa wrote:Does anyone have photos of the gym? When you say "game," what sport are you speaking of? Because if it's basketball, my friend, you've found a teammate.rezipsa wrote:Ouch. Oh well, at least it's right across from Busch. Trekking across campus for a game or workout wouldn't have been bad, but I'm sure the aggregate commute difference will be a big payoff in re: time management and such.

Okay, now is that Vujacic or Jason Schwartzman?
Intramurals all the way. I'll handle the rebounds and blocks, and throw an occasional lefty hook in there. That's right... I'm the whitest basketball player you've ever met.

I stand corrected. Forgot about Mr. Rambis.rezipsa wrote:--ImageRemoved--smc5784 wrote:Okay, now is that Vujacic or Jason Schwartzman?

Shawn Bradley probably stands ahead of me, too.

Well, I don't know if "sponsored" is the right term, actually. But they have keg parties on Friday at the law school that feature Busch beer (free to the students). Actually, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure they are "sponsored" by various student organizations. But still, they have Busch beer there.rezipsa wrote:sponsored?smc5784 wrote:Brewery tours... and brewery sponsored keg parties on Fridays.![]()

Yeah, I went to the one in January. It was pretty good. I met a few currents, and a lot of prospectives (hwmyones, included). Most everyone seemed pretty cool, particularly the two currents (1Ls) who sat at my table during the "meet and greet" with currents and professors. There was one or two that I met at the reception that were a little off-putting, but you're going to get that everywhere.
Noncompetitiveness seemed pretty stressed by the currents that I talked to.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
