Well...I'm a good bit older than most incoming law students, I think. I'm 36, and have been working in computer security for 12 years. I've gotten more and more involved in the legal side of computer security, and found that the law aspect was more interesting than the computers themselves, so I decided to go into high tech law. SCU is pretty much the place to be for that.

I'm moving from Charlotte, NC. It's a bit of a drive, but it'll be an adventure. Reading this forum has been cool; it's great to see the kinds of things that are in the area. I'm looking forward to getting out there.

Dropped off my laptop at the tech center today. People there seemed very nice and helpfull so they are installing windows on my new macbook. They advised me to install some program that works with boot camp to run windows within the Mac operating system rather than parallel to it.
Or something like that lol.

ahh yes... i need to get leopard... yeah we're actually not allowed to use parallels in exams.

stranger: oh sorry it's called an IP Fellow. Just a program within High tech law institute for people interested in IP. they give a full scholarship + 1st year summer job + events with IP lawyers/professors

Computer arrived yesterday. I managed to get it all set up with windows xp. I don't have the parallel software so I've just got it set up on plain ol' boot camp.
