Smoking is still allowed in Ann Arbor bars. The University has some indoor Tennis Courts, but I do not know if students can use them, or if they are for the tennis teams.

Any summer starters big on tennis? I'm good enough such that an excellent player wouldn't be completely bored while playing against me. If I could play a couple times a week this summer, life would be good.
In place of tennis, I would love to track down table tennis or racquetball partners.

Red, i'm a tennis player. Definitely not fantastic and am quite rusty but I did play varsity in HS. I'm down to play over the summer

Anybody else get an amusing email today from Michigan? It began with:
and then went on talk about having a current law student get in touch with me. A few minutes later, I got a funny email apologizing. So I sent them back this email:Dear [FirstName]:
Dear Ms. Zearfoss,
No offense taken. Although my parents considered naming me [FirstName],
they ultimately felt that 'Alexander' had a nicer ring to it. Frankly, I
think I agree with them. Anyhow, I would be happy to receive a call or
email on any of the dates in question. I looking forward to learning much
more about [LawSchoolName]... err, Michigan Law School.

I love to play tennis but I am not very good (my father is a fanatic so some rubbed off on me, but mm... not much). So I'll be available if anyone wants an ego boost this summer.

I'll totally be up for it.
Tennis and ultimate frisbee will probably be my exercise for the summer.

I just put in my request to do summer start.
And who else here plays basketball? Am I good? No. Will I play? Hell yeah.

This is awesome. I'm huge on tennis. This makes me so excited. We'll definitely have to play this summer. Throw Joyce, Possum, and viv in and we can all play doubles or something.TheRedDeath wrote:Any summer starters big on tennis? I was looking this info up too for Ann Arbor.roman wrote:nice.. tennis players. I havent played in a while but am planning on taking it back up in Ls. one of the first things i checked wen i got accepted was tennis places.. the university's tennis complex is actually really nice, it has 6-8 indoor courts..but its a little expensive. 50 bucks a season plus 14/hr during the off hours i believe.
They even have intramurals in the Fall. So I'm hoping I can find some people to start a Michigan Law team with me.

Awesome. Glad to know tennis is a viable option if I choose Michigan. Thanks for the info and the links.

I will happily play tennis with anyone and everyone.
Intramurals in general: http://www.recsports.umich.edu/intramurals/
Dodgeball, broomball, table tennis? Yes, please. In UG, I focused more on dodgeball and broomball than academics.
And for summer: http://www.recsports.umich.edu/intramurals/sports/
Sand volleyball will be played.
Possum: Have you dabbled in freestyle frisbee? Though I prefer ultimate, I was stuck with freestyle as organizing games was tough while in UG.
