I'm still trying to decide about Cornell but for some reason this terrifies me. I had no idea I held such an irrational fear/dislike of cold weather and snow until the prospect of living in Ithaca came up.CampbellRh wrote:Just to give you all an idea of what we're getting into:
I live in upstate, ny now...not that far from Ithaca.
I woke up yesterday to a temp. of 38 degrees.
Today, at 11:37am, it is also 38 degrees.
But, last week it was 75-80 almost all week!
Lesson: Don't think that once it hits 80 you can pack up your winter stuff--we're in for a chilly three years
EDIT: It SNOWED today.
Well, I promise, snow on April 30th isn't the norm (though, my freshman year we got a few flakes mid-may-that was just odd). Today was just a quick white-out like squall for 5 minutes. Then it was sunny. Then we got another one an hour or so later, about 2 minutes, then more sun.ioway86 wrote: I'm still trying to decide about Cornell but for some reason this terrifies me.
