I want to work in NY in 2L year, so in that sense, yes. Cornell's ironically further from U of T I think than my home is [Ottawa].kn6542 wrote:How's lawl school, Pyke? Are you coming down our way .... evar?Pyke wrote:Hmmm... So that's what you study at Cornell?
I always wondered.
Anyway, I could try to come down at some point over the year - we'll see. It's pretty expensive to travel down, but I do have my passport w/ me

Lawl school's really good, I really like U of T. Some world class profs, it's cool. How's Cornell treating y'all?
-Matt
P.S.: I disagree w/ June. Toronto doesn't have a winter by Canadian standards

EDIT: Emmy got banned?

I'm glad you like U of T, pyke.
I don't think emmy got banned, she's just saner than the rest of us and is focusing on law school rather than TLS.

Looks like I could travel by bus to Ithaca for $55 U.S.D. each way [was checking out February Reading week, just out of curiosity]. Maybe I'll come visit at some point, especially if someone offers to house me for a night or twokn6542 wrote:I'm glad you like U of T, pyke.

Nice Pyke.
Maybe I'll see you next summer in NYC!
You can tell me all about how Canada > US. I'll try to nod my head.

I was just trying to think of what made Canada distinctive, and all that popped into my head was Anne Murray.joonbug wrote:

Pyke you could stay with me but all I have to offer is the floor. My couch is only appropriate for someone 4 feet tall.

Re: Cornell Law School 2011
Thx to both of you for the offer.
Not sure yet whether I can/will come down; but if I do it'll probably be in the winter semester [naturally the best time to visit Ithica?] or like... November? I generally don't have classes on Friday unless make-up days get scheduled, but like I could probably do the weekend of like November 22nd-23rd or the weekend after reading week [which I think is February 28th - 29th]. Not sure if that's a busy time at Cornell.
-Matt
P.S.: It finally happened. A classmate identified me based on TLS... and here I thought that'd never happen being that I was going to a Cdn school.

Yeah, I guess
. It's just a bit freaky, that's all. I mean, you don't want you real world reputation clouded by perceptions that are beyond your control; and certainly not everyone on here is a big fan of me
. That's what worried me, more than anything else.
Well that and, the person was the last person I'd expect to be on an online forum

I'll be there. Contracts has my head spinning this week, so I need something to take my mind off of it--other than the Cubs giving Shea Stadium and the Mets a healthy goodbye from the 2008 season.
