Re: UCLA Law Class of 2011
It's not binding, but it's $500. I just sent mine in and withdrew from all other schools.
So now it's official and I'm really excited about it.

Call or e-mail Dean Schwartz if you want Weyburn housing, I know he helped a lot of people get it last year.
A full size bed fits comfortably, queen, maybe less so. They don't go around enforcing it so bring whatever you want.

Shocking, I know. Do you mean a motorized scooter, or like a razor scooter? Would it be weird if I skateboarded to class, or is that only acceptable in ug?

i think skateboarding to class is acceptable but you'll have to drag it up some hills.

Re: UCLA Law Class of 2011
Get a new motorized scooter. $1000-$1500 will get you something great that functionally tops out at 50mph and burns basically no gas. I was inches away from getting one, but most of my driving would have been on interstates, so it wasn't a practical idea.....

oh really? i was looking it up online and the cheapest i could find was about $2000. i think scooters are the way to go. no parking fees for the motorcycle area right?
i have heard of people moving them for "fun" since theyre not that heavy. is there some way of locking them in place? id rather not play wheres waldo with my scooter.

Hey yall, UCLA undergrad here, put my deposit down at UCLA, but might get in off WL at YHS or columbia...
Any q's the eastsiders or others have about UCLA I'll be happy to answer.
Not sure what the big fuss is over Weyburn Terrace, it ain't that great yall. I guess for people who have to move, its convenient, but I'm trying to get a sweet ass apt little ways away from UCLA so that should be fun.
Today's the deadline!

But its small...
I'm just looking a little south of Wilshire, and for around 50-100 dollars more a month I'm gonna be a baller.
Plus I get a spot I assume at my place. Anyone here for entertainment/sports law?

Scooters can be moved, but most can be locked down like a bicycle in some way. I live in Oklahoma, so they might be a little cheaper here than other places, but look around online and you can easily get under $1500. You would have to park it at a bike rack or something, but that's pretty common for OK scooter owners. Don't know about Cali.

theres an area for motorcycle parking that people park scooters at. i think they dont usually get moved on campus. mostly outside of apartments. maybe by people looking for parking? hehari20dal7 wrote:Scooters can be moved, but most can be locked down like a bicycle in some way. Re: UCLA Law Class of 2011
i dont think $2000 for a decent two bedroom south of wilshire is realistic anymore. more like $2500. the SO is living in a three bedroom on wilshire and barrington for $850 for his own room which is a lot cheaper than westwood. id move in there when he moves out but his roommates are complete pot heads and theres no AC :/
