it also helps if they're really really cute and send you lots of presents. and let you hang out with them in europe all summer.cantwaitforuva wrote: I'd be willing to do the long-distance thing for someone I really loved and thought I could have a future with, I just haven't been in that situation yet.

Holly and sialeeds - how serious are these relationships - I know you've both been with your guys for a while. Are you thinking marriage?

Yeah, we talk about it. Mostly in that we can't imagine our futures without each other, but when it comes to picking a certain time, he gets a bit skiddish. But I'd imagine I'd be engaged by 3L (if not 2L). I'd like to get married the summer after law school so I don't follow him to his residency in some awful city for nothingcantwaitforuva wrote:Holly and sialeeds - how serious are these relationships - I know you've both been with your guys for a while. I guess it sounds kind of scary to say that. But when you've been dating someone for 3 years, and add another 3 years on to that... by the end of 6 years, I think you're ready for marriage, even if I'll only be 25.

Figured I'd revive this thread instead of hijacking the housing one for the umpteenth time.
I was googling info on UVA's lottery system when I stumbled across a 2007 sex survey of UVA Law students:
--LinkRemoved--
--LinkRemoved--
Not entirely sure why Google returned "sex" when I asked for "jobs," but the survey results suggest that most of us will have great sex lives to look forward to.
Here are what I considered the juiciest tidbits:
- 70% reported being "very satisfied" or "satisfied" with their sex lives.
- 64% were involved in a sexual relationship; 65% were getting laid at least once a month, and 52% were getting laid at least once a week.
- 45% of 1L women indicated being single (as of February 07), compared to 38% of 1L men. Guess the ratio doesn't hurt us gents too badly after all.
- 30% of both men and women admitted to having cheated one someone at least once.
- 12% admitted to having had revenge sex.

Once a month, perhaps even once a week, I will be very satisfied when I cheat on my girlfriend by having revenge sex with the wife of a professor who gave me a bad grade which will thus make me single...
...and then I can answer Yes to every question on the survey.

Interesting that they left out some of the questions on both of those sites. I'm not sure where to find them now. All I remember is that 1/4 of the women have done anal.
Also - 2% have had STDs? Either a bunch of people are lying or a bunch of people haven't gotten tested. Don't be a fool, wrap your tool.

92% of female law students are ok with homosexuality, but only 75% of males? I wonder why the disparity.

Maybe 25% are self-loathing homosexuals?

This is what shocks me! I would think girls would be more conservative than guys when it comes to this...Similarly, 83% of law students (or 92.5% of females and 76.6% of males) believe that premarital sex is okay for some people.

What does that mean, "okay for some people"? It's okay for devil-worshippers only?

Girls may be more conservative in terms of their own behavior, but I think they tend to be more understanding of other's personal choices. (huge generalization)sialeeds wrote:This is what shocks me! Weird thing is 25% of male law students don't think premarital sex is okay - does that means 25% are virgins?? Weird. That cuts down my options.
