Sorry I can't help, but I would love to know this as well.
Do we need to fill that part out if we've been out of school for a few years?
Thanks!

The answer is yes. If you don't have to pay it back you have to add it here.

i think this may come off as a dumb question, but i was a "research assistant" where my school gave me a salary (not stipend) and a tuition waiver. i don't think my salary would be part of financial aid, but do I have to count the tuition waiver?

I'm on the same boat.. I think you count the tuition waiver if there's any part on the form that indicates cost of tuition... Sigh. I hate filing these forms.dingman08 wrote:i think this may come off as a dumb question, but i was a "research assistant" where my school gave me a salary (not stipend) and a tuition waiver. i don't think my salary would be part of financial aid, but do I have to count the tuition waiver?

Re: Needaccess and financial aid
I realized I found the answer from my taxes last year. The 1098-T form from my school indicated the tuition waiver in "scholarships or grants", box 5 ... The salary/stipend came as a separate W2. I'm going to include the information as it was given, since that's how my taxes were done..dingman08 wrote:i think this may come off as a dumb question, but i was a "research assistant" where my school gave me a salary (not stipend) and a tuition waiver. i don't think my salary would be part of financial aid, but do I have to count the tuition waiver?
