Cash out a scholarship?
If a law school (state, not private) offers someone a scholarship amount (say 20k) that renews every year and the student is receiving GI Bill and YRP...can that student cash out the scholarship as excess payment? Similar to people getting private loans in excess of the cost of attendance.

Re: Cash out a scholarship?
Generally no, but some schools will. Ask the financial aid office if they'll classify your loans as living expenses, not academic, so that you'll get it back.BlueSkiesonMars wrote:If a law school (state, not private) offers someone a scholarship amount (say 20k) that renews every year and the student is receiving GI Bill and YRP...can that student cash out the scholarship as excess payment?
