I am a sophomore in college, and I am interested in pursuing law school. I'm just curious how loans and financial aid work. I will have around 50k of debt from UG and my parents will pay $0 for law school. Will I most likely be a recipient of a lot of financial aid, or will I have to take out $200k + in loans? Only looking to attend a T6 school with the exception of a serious scholarship from a lower T14 school. Thanks!

You should take the LSAT to see if a T14 is in your future. With sky-high results you could end up with a free ride (if not at a T14, somewhere highly respected).

Yeah, this is putting the horse before the cart (edit: strike that, reverse it). You don't even have an LSAT yet, so "T6-or-bust" isn't a realistic position to take. Get an LSAT score, and then start looking at what financial burdens you'll be taking on.

Pretty much, except need based aid is actually a thing at the top undergrads and sucks a lot at law schools

Totally understand the nature, but people here are right, you're best off trying to get a 4.0 and saving worrying about the LSAT and apps till later on. I only had a 3.3 in undergrad, and that made things wayyy more difficult in applying!
