GULC Scholly Negotiations
Can anyone offer some advice on negotiating scholly money with GULC sans telling me I should go somewhere else? They told me they can't offer me merit aid due to limited funding on the same day they made other people scholly offers, so my only options are loans... I really can't afford to go sticker. It's not a matter of feeling entitled to merit aid or anything like that, I just obviously don't want to incur insurmountable debt. I'm at both medians and have strong softs.

Re: GULC Scholly Negotiations
Negotiating with GULC is going to be the same as negotiating anywhere else: you need leverage.
If your median scores and softs (softs don't matter much, by the way) didn't get you any money the first time around, then you at least need an offer of admission to a higher-ranked school or, better yet, a scholarship offer from a higher or similarly ranked school. If you don't have either of those things, your best option is probably going to be retaking the LSAT for a higher score and applying to more schools this year. If you didn't get a scholarship offer outright from Georgetown, at least you'd be in a position to negotiate for more aid with them.
And of course, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't mention that GULC's employment stats have been slipping. A lot. Paying anything close to sticker there could leave you with an insane amount of debt and a job (or lack thereof) that won't let you pay it off.
