Does the distribution of scholarships over 3yrs matter?

Post by KobetheGOAT » Tue Apr 26, 2016 12:47 pm

For example, a school is offering me $60k. But if instead of dividing it up evenly over 3 years, they front load the amount, is that advantageous/disadvantageous to me in any way? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's definitely advantageous. Interest starts accruing as soon as the loan is disbursed. If your loans are coming in on the backend, you have less interest

Also advantageous if you transfer. But make sure they don't take it away if your transfer.
