In some of the school's LRAP policies, they include language that not every eligible applicant will receive an award, or that in the event of limited funding, students with the greatest need will be prioritized first.

And of course, there's the reserved right to alter the program at any time.

Have there been significant instances of schools that were unable to fund eligible applicants or denied them for any other unusual reason? It seems like a fairly scary prospect that depends on the stability of school's funding sources (often tied to public funds if it's a state school).
