i was a finalist this past year so ill share some of my experiences

almost everyone had 1-2+ years PI experience, didn't have to be super prestigious PI tho. I met one KJD of all the people I talked to.

It is generally for people with numbers better than just getting into NYU, people I talked to were headed to HYS or big money elsewhere.
