Hi all -- a bit confused about the financial aid process at a lot of schools. From what I've read, certain schools automatically offer scholarships upon reviewing your app and accepting you (merit based). Do need-based scholarships only come in after the FAFSA is completed? How will the schools receive your FAFSA to consider you before / after admitting you?
To put in context, I applied to Harvard, Yale, Columbia, NYU, Georgetown, Duke, UVA, Fordham
Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

After FASFA completed. It has nothing to do with admission. Some schools let you apply prior to admission, however they won't look at it until after admittance. Do your FASFA and list all the schools you've applied to regardless of admission status. Once admitted, follow directions for need based aid.
