Admissions E-Mail w/o Scholarship Info

Post by Lemurian » Wed Oct 15, 2014 4:10 pm

If somebody gets an email from a school telling them they got in, but it doesn't say anything about if they're giving them any scholarship money, does that mean they didn't get any, or might that information come later? I know most schools will include it, but I've heard mention that some don't start giving away money until later in the admissions cycle.

Some schools put scholly info in the admit email, but some schools announce money weeks or months later. Some schools even have more application steps (FAFSA, NeedAccess, supplemental forms and essays) for admits to complete before they'll hand out money.

Is there anywhere I can look to find a school's stance on this besides from their official websites? Those have all proven to be extremely generic and not really mention how/when scholarships are awarded.
