When to stop asking for a larger scholarship?

Post by Chriz » Tue May 27, 2014 4:30 pm

I am wondering when I should stop requesting a larger scholarship. I was initially given 16k a year. I requested more and got 18k a year. I requested more and was told I would not get more. Well after seeing a lot of big scholarships turned down on LSN I requested more again and am up to 20k a year. I am not sure if I should just be happy or if I should keep trying to get as large a scholarship as I can. When is it too much to keep asking? Is there any downside to continuing to ask? I know they won't revoke my admission or anything but will I make people there angry?

Don't stop asking. However you may want to ask less frequently for strategic reasons.

Who cares if you annoy ad comms

You will have basically no contact with them once school starts

I am at a loss as to how to keep asking when I have not received any new offers from other schools. Do you just keep negotiating using the same schools? Or do you give them some other sort of new information?
