Basics of Negotiating Merit Scholarship

Post by mbrinkley51 » Fri Apr 11, 2014 12:25 pm

Trying to find out about the basics of negotiating scholarhsips?

how does this work?
email or call?
how do you not come off like a pompus ass asking for more when they are already offering?
What are the general steps in the process?

There is one thing I'm also curious about for this.

How much money should splitters expect?

For instance, my GPA is bad at 2.8, but I hit the median at some of the schools I applied to in terms of LSAT.

Is that a school-by-school decision? I've been hovering around the 15k to 20k a year offers, and was curious if I should be trying to jockey for more, if that's the ballpark of what I should expect.
