Schorlaship Negotiating In-Person vs Email

Post by King Cayuga » Wed Apr 09, 2014 5:25 pm

I'm a Cornell UG who received a nice scholarship from Cornell Law, but I'd like to see if I could push it a little higher. Should I consider making an appointment with the finaid office and coming in person, or should i just negotiate via email?

In person or even calling for negotiation is destined to be awkward.

Email.

You would certainly stand out and give a face to the name so to speak, but there are a dozen possible complications with going in person. A well crafted email is probably the safer bet, I was able to double my scholarship in the same fashion.
