Does GULC care about GW Schollies?

Post by Ambi-Turner » Wed Apr 02, 2014 2:08 pm

Has anyone had success using a scholarship at GW to leverage money from Georgetown? I know GULC is crazy stingy, and GW isn't on their level, but it is the next best school in DC.

i think it would depend on the size of your GW scholly. If you got a full ride from GW i'm sure you could squeeze some money out of GULC (athough you'd probably just go to GW for free). If you only got $ from GW then GULC is unlikely to match it.

GULC came very close to matching GW after I emailed them and basically said "I want to go here, but I have to be financially prudent".

FWIW, I'm PT, so contrary to popular belief, they do give merit awards for PT. This is just my experience, but I don't think they're as "stingy" as TLSers seem to think.

^ How did you get a scholarship for PT? Did you have to apply?
