Why don't you owe taxes? Even if you don't owe anything, you can always file a return that shows you owe zero. I recall sometimes undergrads asked for copies of tax returns to verify amounts. Now FAFSA can just pull amounts from your return. Will this cause problems for my FAFSA? It asks for my income and it also asks if I will be filing taxes. Providing an income and saying I won't file taxes seems like it would raise a red flag.
I don't know if law schools ask for it. My view is that it may be easier to just file. You might need it.
