Am I correct that they only give need-based aid and not merit?

lol it's not that crazy. They're the top 3 and most competitive schools. You'd have to have 180 4.X to even come close to expecting merit aid, and people with those stats get dinged at YS all the time.

yeah, understandable. my parents are out of the equation so I'm just really absorbing all of these COAs.
