St. John's Top 40% Stip

Post by law2016 » Wed Mar 13, 2013 10:47 pm

Has anyone had any success with using other full scholarship offers to negotiate the 40% stip on the full scholarship at St. John's? The offer is tempting, but after hearing all scholarship recipients are stacked in the same section I'm concerned.

Full ride here as well. Now seeing this stuff about section stacking. Does that practice also apply to the part time class?

it's expensive for no reason, it's in nyc so rent is crazy expensive, it's arguably behind every t14, fordham, bozo, brookyn, for job prospects. And you have a 60% chance of not keeping your scholarship.

Look elsewhere for cheaper or DON'T GO this year. Retake LSAT to save yourself thousands in the long run.

I guess my initial question should really have been whether or not sections are actually stacked?

I get that it's not a T14 school. However, I know many people who have been very successful in the NY market from St. John's and I did like the school much more than other similarly ranked schools that offered full tuition.

I know plenty of people who have been very unsuccessful in every market from St. John's... Oh wait, no I don't because I don't associate with homeless people. Your argument is too specific to be useful. I know successful people from prison, should I punch a cop to go to prison? Cuz you're essentially going to be in a prison of debt/time.

There is a great chance of losing a scholarship at SJU - I know someone that did.

What do you want to be when you grow up? That sorta matters here.
