I believe that you file as an independent, in which case your parents information is optional. I just took a look at the FAFSA form last week and that's what showed up for me (not that my circumstances are the same as yours though).

You are not dependent for FAFSA purposes when applying for law school.

Need Access and similar programs have their own rules which you should consult regarding your estranged status with your other parent.
