Any t2 scholarships left at this point?

Post by schmohawkism » Mon Feb 13, 2012 1:34 am

So I didn't apply to any peer schools and now I can't negotiate a scholarship.

Is there still money for people that apply at the last minute?

Because of the wide breadth of your question, the only answer is "maybe."

Keep in mind that scholarship funding WILL open up when current recipients fail to submit their deposits and withdraw from that school. However, what that means for you specifically is anyone's guess.

Your stats are pretty great for the T2 so I can't imagine you wouldn't get a generous offer from somewhere that you want, even though it is later in the cycle...

Can't wait a year? With those numbers you should be getting lots of money from T2s or be going to a better school.

Many, maybe most, Tier Two law schools are going to be sceptical (skeptical) of an applicant's intentions with a LSAT score of 173. You need a convincing reason to be taken seriously at a Tier Two with your LSAT score.

usd gave me 31k/yr if i maintain a 2.0 (faculty honor scholly)

then i found others with slightly lower numbers who were awarded 38k/yr (deans honor scholly)

this is just a last ditch effort to negotiate. am i being greedy?

Hell to the no. Your numbers are stellar. Use it as leverage + w/e else that makes you look attractive in the negotiation letter.

Why the hell are you applying so late. Apply next year. Applying now is a waste of your LSAT score.

Hell, with work experience you can get NU... even without you can get lower T14.

1) withdraw apps
2) apply next year early
3) get accepted to lower T14 or upper T1 with $$$.
4) profit.
