FAFSA without 2011 W2
I see a lot of people completing their FAFSA already. Are people completing their FAFSA without receiving last year's W2 form? Thanks.

I provided estimates and will update/correct my FAFSA when I will have my taxes complete (which will more than likely be past most of my schools priority deadlines).

I'm doing my taxes as soon as I get my W2 (probs by the end of the month) and will do the FAFSA shortly thereafter. Is there any advantage to applying as early as possible?

Thanks for the responses.
@Bmill: Is there a place on the FAFSA where you can indicate that it is an estimate?
@tennisking88: I haven't heard that applying for the FAFSA early is an advantage. I could be wrong though. Obviously, just make sure that you have it done by the deadline.

Yes, I believe at the beg of the application it asks if you will file or have filed. You select will file. After your app is processed you will get an email asking you to update the FAFSA after you have filed. Would recommend having last year's 1040 to assist with your estimates.DubP5 wrote:Thanks for the responses.
