Scholarships given out after fafsa forms are filled out?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I read somewhere on here that schools start giving out scholarships only after you send them your filled out fafsa information?? Is this true?

Depends on the school. I'm pretty sure they all wait until you've done FAFSA/NeedAccess/whatever before handing out need-based aid, but only some schools wait until all that's in before they hand out merit aid.
