When to request loans for 2nd semester by?

So when should we be requesting loans for the second semester by? I know it might vary a bit school to school, but just generally speaking. I thought I had seen an email saying we should be doing this soon, but I can't find it now.

At my school, half the loan money I requested was sent at the beginning of the Fall semester, and the other half will be sent automatically for the Spring semester. You should check with your Financial Aid office to see whether you have to do anything, or if it is done automatically.
