when shall i apply for financial aid?

Should I start my financial application before, or after knowing whether I'm admitted?
Thanks in advance

The FAFSA is not available until January 1st for the 2012-2013 academic year...so as soon as your taxes are filed and your parents' taxes are filed (if you need to put them on your FAFSA) then you can fill out the FAFSA.

Yeah do it whether or not you have been admitted. Trust me when I say the early bird gets the worm (or in this case money) when it comes to need based financial aid.
