Fee Waivers

So what's the deal with fee waivers? They send you them entirely based on LSAT score? When? Not the kind of fee waivers you can get for making under a certain amount of $$ a year, but based on merit to make you apply.

some are automatic that you'll find when you're applying... but most of mine came from the school through e-mail. be careful... if a school seems too good to be giving you a fee waiver, they might just be trying to get you to apply to get their numbers higher (only to leave you dinged or waitlisted).

I applied to 17 schools, 12 gave me merit fee waivers. I was rejected to 10 schools that gave me a fee waiver. Just dont think about it too much. Its a free app Whether or not you get in will be determined by your numbers.

You can also request a fee waiver. As long as you are above the schools average numbers you shouldn't have a problems getting one. I think there is an articles on TLS that describes how to do this best. But just email someone in admissions with your LSAT/GPA and ask them for a fee waiver.

How soon after receiving my LSAT score should I expect to start seeing fee waivers?

I took the test June 6th and got my score back this past Monday and just signed up for CRS yesterday. Should I start seeing them in few weeks or will it not be till later this fall?

I took the June test as well, haven't signed up for CAS. So far I've gotten waivers from Seton Hall, Thurgood Marshall, U of Cinci, and U of Denver via email.
