UT or Davis or U of Illinois HELP!!! Forum

HELP! Univ of Tx offered NO $$, but it's the best ranked of the schools. UC Davis offered $20 thou/"possibly" renewable ea. year, and U of I offered $ 60,000 total. Long term, I would prefer to live in Ca, but would like to have the option of working in DC at least as an intern-any suggestions? (from AZ, hate the cold weather!) :rollp.s. waitlisted at UCLA and USC>should I hang on to those????

As someone who did his undergrad at Illinois, I would advise against you going there. I'd go to UT as it has a great reputation nationwide. You shouldn't turn schools like that down, period.

How exactly do you determine this? I was taking a look at the firms that attended UTs Fall OCI and there are a ton of firms from DC: --LinkRemoved--. I'm not questioning your conclusion, but I'm curious what's the best resource to read for understanding geographic job prospects.

If UCLA or USC does happen I'd take them at sticker over all the options.
