Question about promissory signatures

Post by GoBroncos22! » Tue Mar 29, 2011 12:33 pm

All my financial aid reward came through at my school, in the form of graduate PLUS and direct, unsub/sub stafford loans. The instructions said I have to sign a promisory note online at studentloans.gov. I did one for the graduate plus loans, but im a little confused about the others. Do I have to sign one as well for these loans? Or does one signature, cover ALL of my loans? Also, i know for the graduate PLUS loan they require a credit check before this is guaranteed. Does anyone know if the school will automatically do this on their own? This aid crap is quite the maze to sort through, or maybe im just retarded. Thanks for any help at all.

I would suggest contacting your school's financial aid office. They will be able to walk you through the process at your institution.

Good luck!
