Competition for Penn Merit Scholarships

Post by mcweanis » Mon Mar 07, 2011 4:23 pm

I was invited to apply for the Toll Public Interest Scholarship (120k) at Penn. I know 6 are going to be awarded this year, but I have no idea how competitive they are or how many people are invited to apply.

Does anyone have any knowledge - either about the Toll or the Levy, Wilson, Dean's, etc?

maybe the complete lack of response indicates that there isn't much competition :)

This is not official at all, but I read somewhere on the TLS forum that they invite approx. 30 - 50 to apply for 12 - 15 scholarships. I know nothing about the Toll. I would think they are very seriously considering you if they've asked you to apply, so congrats!
