I've been waiting to hear back from School X for 10 days, ever since they asked me via e-mail to give them a scholarship amount that I found "reasonable and competitive," in light of my other scholarship offers from peer schools. The same day, I requested a larger scholarship, going from their initial 8K/yr offer to 22K/yr. I haven't heard from School X since, not even a confirmation that they're reviewing my increased scholarship amount request.
Would it be appropriate to send them another e-mail confirming that they did indeed received my last e-mail? Or is 10 days not enough time?

Call and check if to see if it has to go in front of a committee and the time line.
