merit aid at CCN
Would someone with a 176 on the LSAT and a 3.94 GPA be able to get any merit aid at UChicago and NYU?

Rubenstein?
Your problem will be convincing the Dean that offering you $$$ might actually lure you away from Harvard, since with those numbers you should basically be auto-admit for HLS.

Thanks for the replies. If I'm lucky enough to get into these schools along with HLS, I think $ from UChicago and NYU would be very alluring since I have quite some debt already from college. I'm guessing those numbers probably won't get me much $ (if any) from Columbia.

What was wrong in the post? Sorry, I'm very new to the concept of financial aid in law school. The way I currently understand it is, I won't get much if any need-based aid at YHS even if I get in; if I have to finance law school with just loans, I would be over $300000 in debt by the time graduate.

Sorry dude.. you need at least a 179 and 3.96 to get merit aid at CCN. You will definitely get a full ride at some tier 2 schools though.icpb wrote:Would someone with a 176-178 on the LSAT and a 3.90-3.95 GPA be able to get any merit aid at UChicago and NYU?

Would those numbers get half tuition at Penn/Duke/Cornell?

If Chicago is really handing out 60 Rubensteins, if you have decent softs I can't imagine you wouldn't be offered one.

They're handing out 20/year for the next three years if I remember correctly.GotYourselfAStewGoin wrote:If Chicago is really handing out 60 Rubensteins, if you have decent softs I can't imagine you wouldn't be offered one.

Correct you are! Even at 20, however, I like OP's odds.
