when to ask for merit aid

Post by birD » Sat Dec 11, 2010 4:13 pm

Is it too early to contact a school asking for merit aid? Is there a certain month that would be more appropriate, like later on in Jan, Feb ect?

some schools automatically put you in contention for merit aide. Others wont talk about it until you have turned in your FASFA- then they will use that to help. It all depends on each individual school. Call and ask them.
