Georgetown Financial Aid and Scholarship opportunities
Does anyone know what kinds of merit- and need-based scholarships are available for Georgetown? I scored a 177 on the LSAT and have a 3.86 GPA (3.84 counting some CC credit from when I was in high school). It basically comes down to this: Georgetown is my number one pick, but only if I can get a combination of grants and scholarships to cover about 80% of tuition. Otherwise, I'll just go to school for free somewhere else.

Chances are you'll do well, but it is kind of random. Apply to all T25. See what you get and negotiate.dustinsc wrote:Does anyone know what kinds of merit- and need-based scholarships are available for Georgetown? You can likely get scholarship money at several T14 schools. Blanket them all.

Yes. Yes I do. There's a lot more to consider in a law school than just its rank. I don't want to be president or chief justice; therefore, I don't need a Yale education.plenipotentiary wrote:You prefer Georgetown to Yale?

Georgetown is pretty stingy with merit aid. They give only a handful of $75k-$90k scholarships even for super high numbers.
